Jewelry care

Fine jewelry is more durable than people fear. A few small habits keep it looking new for years.

Everyday habits

Put your jewelry on last, after fragrance, lotion, and hairspray, which are harder on metal and stones than almost anything else.

Take pieces off before you swim, shower, sleep, or work with your hands. A little routine goes a long way.

Cleaning

Warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft brush will clean most gold and stones. Rinse, pat dry, and you are done.

For silver, a polishing cloth brings back the shine. Tarnish is a natural reaction with air, not damage, and it is fully reversible.

Storing

Gold is soft, so store pieces apart to keep them from scratching each other. Use the pouch we include, or a lined box.

Clasp chains closed before you put them away so they do not knot, and lay strands flat.

Lifetime care

When a piece needs attention, bring it to us.

Cleaning, polishing, resizing, and clasp checks are complimentary for the life of every piece. Just reach out and we will take care of it.
